During our trip to France Rodolphe went the extra mile in working with us before our tour to ensure that it met our needs, and his suggestions and inputs were valued. During the tour he operated as a guide and concierge, introducing us to special events and privileges not available to the general public. This included dining options as well. The information presented during the tour was very interesting and was presented in a logical sequence that followed the events in history.

We recently spent 8 days touring Normandy and Paris with our tour guide Rodolphe Rutman. Our main priority was to concentrate on specific WWII events and locations. This required a very involved agenda. Not only did Rodolphe meet all our expectations, he exceeded them. For example, being in France during Memorial Day, Rodolphe was able to get passes to attend the celebrations, one of my most memorable events. I also had the opportunity to raise the flag from half-mast at the Lafayette Escadrille tomb. With 2 days in Paris, besides visiting the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral (my only requirements), Rodolphe spent quality time pointing out many, many historical sites throughout Paris. As seniors, Rodolphe was extremely accommodating of all our needs, was very flexible and provided us with an outstanding experience.

Rodolphe has so much knowledge of the area, D-Day and first hand details from veterans that were there on June 6, 1944. We lucked out and only had 4 in our tour that day which made it that more personable. Rodolphe did an amazing job and will recommend him to others when travelling to Normandy.”

“We did a half day tour with Rodolphe! Took the non-stop train from Paris to Bayeux in the morning and had plenty of time to have lunch in Bayeux.Our guide Rodolphe was so knowledgeable and explained all of the happenings of D-Day as we travelled to all of the sights. It was great not having to worry about driving/parking and just enjoy the afternoon. He was even so kind as to drop us off at the train station to catch the 6.40pm train back to Paris. I totally recommend this tour!”

Excellent tour
“For many years I wanted to visit the D-Day sights in Normandy, so I had high expectations from this tour. The tour with Rodolphe as our guide exceeded my expectations! He combined the broad picture with stories of veterans (from both sides!) who he personally interviewed, took us to all the standard locations, but also to some non-standard ones (e.g. to see a real-life Higgins boat). It was a tour to remember.

All the details made the tour come alive
Our tour guide, Rodolphe, was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the Normandy invasion, and did a great job giving context of everything that was going on. He was able to fill in additional details taken from stories of people who lived through the battle, which made it that much more personal and helped the locations come alive. We were unable to visit Point du Hoc (road closed due to WW2 bomb disposal) but would still highly recommend.
